"The Last Great Heist" is a documentary about the infamous 2006 robbery of the Banco Río branch in the neighborhood of Acassuso, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The robbers, a group of 10 men who called themselves "Los Monos" (The Monkeys), successfully stole $40 million, making it one of the largest bank heists in Argentine history. However, as with many heists, the group was eventually caught and arrested, and most of the stolen money was recovered by authorities. The documentary explores the planning and execution of the heist as well as the eventual capture of the robbers, and the motivations and background of the individuals involved.
